!ひらがなとカタカナ!

so yesterday I had my second Japanese lesson! We went through the first four lines of hiragana and katakana

here is the chart:

やさしいです!! it’s easy!!

so now you can read and write some words like:

うち – house/home
かさ – umbrella
しごと – work/job/occupation
あお – blue
あか – red
え - picture/painting
いいえ – no

so I refreshed my kana in this lesson which is good ^^ probably next week we will learn more kana, and some new vocabulary!

JAPANESE VENDING MACHINES

This photo is from when were in Kyoto (but could be anywhere really..) It’s definitely odd to me having ties in vending machines, but it’s definitely not the worst thing Japan keeps in their vending machines!

I never got to see the used panties ones, but I did see cigarette vendingmachines, which probably is only surprising to me sinse they have cracked down on smoking in the UK. It’s still crazy to think that anyone, no matter what age, could easily get hold of them… Anyway, the coolest thing about the drink vending machines is that at night they are heated!! Best idea ever, except one time along with the drinks was a jar of kitkats…

BECKII CRUEL ベッキー・クルーエル

So I found out about beckii when watching fits adverts on youtube. What made my heart ache is that its a fantasy of mine to do what she is doing, especially as I also live on a small island next to England! (so I kinda had to buy her DVD…haha…)

Beckii is from Isle of Man, and became popular after the youtube video of her dancing to Danjo reached over 1 million views. She is now signed with Tokuma and has released her first single “翼をください” as part of the “cruel angels”.

I’m just hoping this will start a craze for Europian idols in Japan, you can’t blame me for wanting to be famous >

don’t ask me what the title means, I have no idea!! This is the second part of my first Japanese lesson which is some basic introduction phrases, like saying what your names is and some information about your family.

Anata no kazoku ha nannin desuka?–How many people are in your family?

Kyodai wa imasuka?–Do you have siblings?

Petto wa imasuka?–Do you have a pet?

Anata no–your

Kazoku–family

Nannin desuka?–How many people?

Kyodai–sibling

~wa imasuka?–do you have?

Petto–Pet

Hito no kazu (Number of people)

Haha–Mum (your own mother only)

So after that lesson I can now introduce myself and give some information about my family! Here goes:

Konnishiwa, hajimemashite. (hello, nice to meet you)

Watashi wa flo desu. (I am flo)

watashi wa igirisu, eigo wo hanashimasu. (I am British, I speak English)

Kazoku ha haha to chichi to ni anne ga imasu. (In my family I have a mum, a dad and two older sisters)

Douzo yoroshiku! (nice to meet you!)

So by next week hopefully we will have some kana! This was a good first lesson, and I hope to learn many more phrases next week!

“USEFUL PHRASES IN LESSON” February 24, 2010

This is a list of vocabulary that my teacher has given us that is important to learn for classroom conversation! It is all in romanji becuase we are having the kana lesson next week!

Hajimemasyo–let’s start!

Ogenki desuka?–How are you?

Hai, genki desu–Yes, I’m fine

Iie, genki jyaarimasen–No, I’m not fine

Arigatogozaimasu–Thank you

Owarimasu–Let’s finish!

Kore wa Eigo de nandesuka? What does this mena in English?

Kore wa Nihongo de nandesuka? What does this mean in Japanese?

Wakarimasu–I understand

Wakarimasen–I don’t understand

Mou ichido onegaishimasu–Please say it one more time

Shukudai desu–it’s homework

Shukudai wo wasuremashita–I forgot homework

Sumimasen–I’m sorry/Excuse me

Yasashii desu–it’s easy

Muzukashii desu–it’sdifficult

So I have to momories all this phrases! Luckily I know most of it already, plus it’s all pretty basic!

I'm reposting the first few posts from my old blog which I had to change, so the dates are wrong for a few posts! sorry.

So yeah.. I’ve tried to blog before, but that kinda failed miserably: persona-in-mask(really inventive name..) and spkeythechicken (I made this when I was 11! I even spelt my pets name wrong…) yeah the image links got really messed up in some cases… I hope my new blog won’t be as embarassing haha!!

This blog will be much better sinse it has a purpose
